Marin Ireland Biography

Marin Ireland is an American actress. Known for her theatre and independent film work, The New York Times deemed Ireland "one of the great drama queens of the New York stage". She has received nominations for two Independent Spirit Awards and a Tony Award. Following minor roles in the Law & Order franchise (2003–2008), Ireland earned praise for starring in Neil LaBute's play Reasons to Be Pretty (2008) and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play.

After appearing in the films Rachel Getting Married (2008) and The Understudy (2008), her starring role in Glass Chin (2014) earned her a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best ing Female. She played Julia Bowman in the Amazon Studios series Sneaky Pete (2015–2019). Ireland's other film roles include the acclaimed productions The Family Fang (2015), Hell or High Water (2016), Piercing (2018), The Miseducation of Cameron Post (2018), and The Irishman (2019).

She additionally has played Sissy in the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy (2020–2024) and Nora Brady in the Hulu series Y: The Last Man (2021). Her leading role in the horror film The Dark and the Wicked (2020) earned praise.
