Based on the fairy tale Cendrillon by Charles Perrault, it is 12th Disney animated feature film, and was released on February 15, 1950. Two direct-to-video sequels were released years later, Cinderella II: Dreams Come True in 2002 and Cinderella III: A Twist in Time in 2007.
