'Aladdin' Star Numan Acar s 'Spider-Man: Far From Home'
The folks at Marvel are keeping things in the Disney family with the latest addition to the "Aladdin" reboot, will be ing the web-slinging sequel.
Deadline has the scoop that Acar has just booked a role in the flick, though naturally, we don't know much about it yet. The character's name is Dimitri, according to Deadline. Make of that what you will.
Acar has enjoyed success in recent years playing ing roles in action flicks like "12 Strong" and "In the Fade," as well as TV projects including "Homeland" and the rebooted "Prison Break." His role in "Aladdin" -- playing Hakim, the head of the palace guards and Jafar's right-hand man -- was set to be his most high-profile yet, though we imagine that ing the MCU will likely be an even bigger career boost.
The actor's casting is just the latest for "Far From Home," which continues to shore up its ensemble ahead of production later this year. J.B. Smoove was playing the villain Mysterio. They'll the returning Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, and Michael Keaton.
"Spider-Man: Far From Home" is due in theaters on July 5, 2019.
