'Incredibles 2,' 'Toy Story 4,' 'Cars 3' Release Dates Revealed
New York Comic Con is in full swing this week, and while there, Disney revealed a bunch of release dates for Pixar projects that are due out in the next few years.
"The Incredibles 2" is now expected to hit theaters on June 21, 2019, nearly 15 years after the first flick's release. Fans have been desperate for a sequel ever since "Samuel L. Jackson's Frozone, are expected to return); now, at long last, moviegoers have a specific date they can circle on their calendars.
"Toy Story 3."
There's also now an official (confirmed) storyline for the sequel, which will feature Woody (Will McCormack.
Rounding out the Pixar sequels news is "Cars 3," which will now race into theaters on June 16, 2017, taking the slot previously occupied by "Toy Story 4." Disney declined to reveal anything about the film's plot, nor who is writing or directing the project, though the rapidly-approaching 2017 release date suggests that some behind-the-scenes creative work has already begun.
Sounds like there's lots to get excited about. Pixar should probably just prep their Best Animated Feature Oscar speeches now.
