Sarah Drew its She Can't Watch 'Grey's Anatomy' After 'Painful' Exit
While "Grey's Anatomy" fans still can't get enough of the series in its 15th season, one former Grey Sloan Memorial doc hasn't checked back in with the medical soap.
During a recent appearance, actresswritten out of the show at the end of season 14 -- itted that she can't bring herself to sit through the new episodes.
"I haven’t been watching,” Drew told reporters on Sunday. “You know, it‘s a little painful to kind of go and watch your family move on without you.”
Drew was famously blindsided when she and fellow co-star previously itted that she was "heartbroken" by the decision (and "devastated" that April and Jackson wouldn't wind up together), she said this weekend that everything worked out for the best.
"[Being let go] was painful when it happened, but, in retrospect, I think it would have been hard for me to walk away from that job,” Drew told reporters. “I was on ['Grey's'] for nine years. It feels right and it feels like a good time to move on to something else with all the great love in my heart that I have for everybody and respect and gratitude for what that experience was. Playing a character for nine years is a long haul.”
"I wish everybody the best and I know they’re having a wonderful time," the actress added.
You stay classy, Sarah.
