After the grim ending of "Spider-Man: Far From Home." While audiences have already been reassured that the film is funnier than its predecessor, it's also apparently going to do some time-traveling.

But let's ignore all that for now. Vulture reports that Sony had no comment on the casting, so we don't yet know what timeline we're looking at "Far From Home" to take place in. The recent, pre-"War" past? Sometime in a Thanos-free future?

The creative team has been typically cagey so far about the plot of the Spidey sequel (what, like you really thought they'd get chatty now?), but we do know it's someone named Dimitri.

We're excited to see how Jackson and Smulders factor into the flick. Stay tuned for more intel as it becomes available.

"Spider-Man: Far From Home" is slated for release on July 5, 2019.
