This isn't the first time they have tweeted memes to each other, and it probably won't be the last.

The true love story of the "Avengers" may not be Tony and Pepper, or Nat and Bruce, or Vision and Wanda, or even Cap and Bucky. (Sorry, Stucky.) It's these two. Chris and Robert. Steve and Tony. Captain America and Iron Man.

That "Civil War" was just a bromance quarrel.

So all of these tweets, Game of Thrones" final season territory -- their part in the story is done, and now it's all over but the crying.

Post-"Avengers," Chris Evans has some films lined up, plus scheduled for 2020.
